Enrollment

Enrollment Process

Choosing a child care program is an important decision and at CCCLC we make the enrollment process as seamless as possible for you. A tour is a very critical part in deciding where you want to enroll your child. At CCCLC we welcome our families in taking a tour of our center prior to enrollment.

Once you have chosen us as your child’s center, we will schedule a transition day for you and your child. What is a transition day you may ask? We schedule transition days on Fridays from 9AM to 11AM. At this time your child will be welcomed into class with all their classmates and teachers to assist in the transition into enrollment the following Monday. During this time your child will be able to interact with the other children and meet the teachers. At that time, we welcome the you to stay with you child the first hour of transition, during the second hour we transition our parents to the office to complete all the remaining enrollment paperwork. Finally once 11AM rolls around its time to greet your child and see how their morning went!

We find this transition day not only helps the child being introduced to a new environment but also give you as the parents the support during this transition!

Call our center at 410.848.0644 or fill out the form located under “Contact us” for additional information on enrollment! Let us show you why Carroll County’s oldest child care and education center is the best choice for you and your family!

As a private school, the Center operates its own schedule, therefore we are not closed for all the same holidays and professional days as Carroll County public Schools. In addition, we are also open all year long. A listing of scheduled closings and/or early dismissals is provided to each family at registration. We schedule In-Service days for professional development and to ensure best practices of staff. Although our inclement weather closing/delays schedule frequently follows the CCPS schedule, the Center has its own protocol.
Children absent for a week are assessed full tuition for that week.

Parents are required to alert the Center about all allergens affecting their child. Documentation about each child’s allergens is maintained in the child’s file and is reviewed by all the staff who serve that child. The Center serves alternative food to children allergic to certain ingredients. For more information, contact the Center at 410-848-0644.

Our Center is located in a Carroll County Government building, which keeps our tuition costs down! Because of this relationship; we do follow the County’s closings and/or delays. In addition, at times we will follow Carroll County Public Schools for the safety of our children, families and staff. The Center makes every effort to notify the parents as soon as a decision has been made regarding a closing and/or delay.

Discounts

Carroll Child Care and Learning Center offers a unique sliding scale program for qualifying families. We rely upon external grants and donations to ensure the cost of your child’s care is something that is as affordable as possible. Families applying for SSS tuition must provide documented proof of household income (Forms 1040 and/or W2, two most recent pay stubs) and a completed SSS application form. Regular rates for care apply until or unless the application for SSS is approved. Incomplete applications will not be considered. SSS is not offered for families receiving any other form of subsidized tuition.
Participating families must remit to the center the difference between the Center’s regular rate for care and the amount of the DSS subsidy they receive.
The Center offers a discount for each additional child enrolled by a family. Full tuition is assessed for the youngest child. Tuition for each additional child is 5% less than the Center’s regular rate for care. Multiple child discounts are not offered for families receiving any form of subsidized tuition.
